TWO INGREDIENTS OF DIVINE LOVE

God is Love and that is His nature. God's love for us is abundant and eternal, He gave up his only begotten son, His best for you, so that you can have the best in this life and in the life yet to come.
God is Love and anyone born of God loves.
Beloved, God loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Jesus said in John 13:34 NKJV -
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We are born of God and are now children of God. God is Love and we are now the loved children of our loved God. This is divine Love and we are all expected to operate in it but some of us even as Christians are having difficulty in this area. We are failing in our relationships with our spouse, family members, colleagues and brethren in church.
There are two ingredients I know will help to overcome the struggle in order to successfully Love effectively.
1) In Romans 5:5, it is written -
“Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Amplified).
The love of God has been shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit. Your spirit is now in union with the Spirit of God and God through the Holy Spirit has shed his love nature in your own spirit so that you can love others from him. This is why it is important you live by the Spirit and not by your flesh.
There is a saying that you can't give what you don't have but thanks be to God you can give because you have.
We love from the abundance of God's love shed abroad in our heart. We have it in our spirit and so because we are the doer’s of God's word, we don't hold it back - we just act.
2) 1 John 4:10 NKJV says - This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins".
We love God because He first loved us, so if we can understand the depth of God's love for us then it will become easier to love others despite all odds. We love from the knowledge of the abundance of His love towards mankind. You become so saturated and amazed of the knowledge of God's love for you that you have no choice but to Love others too.
