NO LONGER SUBJECT TO SIN

EPHESIANS 2:4?-?6 NLT

"But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus".

It is by Grace that we are saved through Jesus Christ the son of God. It has nothimg to do with what we did or what we can do.

His resurrection showed off His victory over Satan for us.

ROMANS 6:5?-?6 NLT

"Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin".

The Lord Jesus took our sins on himself for our justification so that when he died, i died, you died yes.. we died. Again when he rose, i rose and you rose too.

Our sinful nature was dealt with by his crucifixion on the cross. And as a result of these the power of sin has been broken and destroyed.

Sin can no longer have dominion over us unless we allow it. We are delivered from the bondage of sin, we are no longer slaves to sin and sin is no longer our master. Jesus is our master and we must embrace and acknowledge the righteousness of God that has been impacted into our spirit by the Holy Spirit.

ROMANS 6:7? NLT

"For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin".

We are now living for God not for Satan, we have been moved from the kingdom of Satan (darkness) into the kingdom of God (light). The victory Jesus got for us is complete and perfect, and so since it is perfect nothing can ever take him back to the cross. Therefore he who is free is free indeed. The power of sin has been broken, we are no longer subject to the dominion of sin.

The Lord Jesus died once to break the power of sin, and now he lives for the glory of God. We believers should also consider ourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Jesus Christ. We are dead to sin therefore do not let sin control the way you live, do not give in to sinful desires nor let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. My dear, give yourself completely to God and also use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God (Romans 6:10-?13 NLT).

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 NKJV says - "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him".

In Christ Jesus, we are now the righteousness of God, our old nature is gone and a new nature which is the nature of God has been given to us in our spirit. We are now a new creature in our spirit, old ways are passed away behold new ways have come.

Your life in Christ Jesus has made you worthy - your unworthiness has been swallowed up with the worthiness of God.

Walk in the consciousness of this and as you do so, that is what you will produce - Righteousness not sin. If you walk in the consciousness of sin, you will produce sin not righteousness. Think about this.....

Would you like to give your life to Christ?
